The Eye-Link Annual Report

Annual Report - Period ending 12/31/09

The clarity and simplicity of the Eye-Link mission continues to resonate and grow within Minnesota’s citizens with severe visual impairments or who are Blind. The Foundation provides adaptive and assistive technologies and associated training to

Any Minnesotan with severe visual impairments.

Donor based contributions for 2009 were $9,300. Adaptive technology grants to applicants ranging from a $300 voice software installation to a full computer with scanner, printer, voice, monitor, and keyboard at $1900, totaled $11,191 during the same period. This is the third year where donations did not cover the cost of adaptive technologies granted by the Foundation. We maintained our goal of never turning down an applicant because of being under-funded by transferring $5,000 from the Endowment fund. Total Income for 2009 was $14,623. Administrative costs were $2,464, bringing total cash expenditures to $13,655. This provides the Foundation with a 2010 starting balance of $1,451.
