Eye-Link Foundation

I would like to thank the Eye Link Foundation for granting me the Merlin video magnifier. It was delivered and set-up in my home on Monday July 7th.

In March of 2002 I began to loose my eyesight and was ultimately given a diagnosis of posterior ischemic optic neuropathy. I am now legally blind. I felt as though my whole world was collapsing.

After being turned down for assistance with a video magnifying device by State Services for the Blind I felt that return to some normalcy of everyday life was slipping farther away. With the help of Laura at VLR, I was able to learn about your foundation and apply for a grant.

The Merlin video magnifier you provided me with has opened up a whole new world for me and I want to thank all the members of the Eye Link Foundation again for helping me regain some of my independence.
